Cleft Palate

 

Cleft Palate is a congenital birth defect. There is an opening in the midline of the palate (roof of the mouth). This opening (cleft) incomplete (only in the soft rear part of the palate) or complete (both in the soft and bony palate). This deformity should be treated by operation before 1.5 years old to prevent speech disorders.
